HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • You'll be responsible for conducting daily attendance checks and managing the campers' relevant attendance and health information.
  • Assist our instructors with the preparation of materials for the day's activities, ensuring everything is ready for a smooth and engaging learning experience.
  • Help with clean-up activities to maintain our campers' neat and organized environment.
  • During breaks and lunch, you'll oversee the children, ensuring their safety and helping to facilitate their social interactions.
  • Assist the instructor in leading groups through the museum and on field trips, making each journey an educational adventure.
  • Actively facilitate various children's activities, helping make each camp day fun and educational.
  • Always exhibit positive behaviour, setting a good example for the campers to follow.
  • Always interact in a friendly and courteous manner with both caregivers and children, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • You should have at least one year of experience working with children in a learning environment like a school or camp. Also, you should be great at working as part of a team.
  • You must be at least 16 when you start working with us.
  • If you've studied something related to museums, like Art, Archaeology, Life Sciences, Earth Science, or History, that's a big plus.
  • If you have coaching or lifeguard certification, that's a bonus.
  • Being certified in First Aid or CPR is an advantage.


SALARY & TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • START DATE: March 2, 2025
  • END DATE: March 16, 2025

  • STATUS: Part-time Contract
  • EMPLOYEE GROUP: Exempt
  • HOURLY RATE: $17.20
  • SCHEDULE: Up to 24 hours weekly
  • LOCATION (onsite): Toronto, ON
