WHO WE NEED
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Associate (Service Worker 3) to join our Facilities team. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will help ensure that ROM remains clean, welcoming, and well-maintained for all visitors, staff, and special events. This is a public-facing role ideal for someone who takes pride in creating tidy, safe, and inviting environments and who thrives in a team-based setting. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the museum’s galleries, public spaces, and staff areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum (wet and dry), auto-scrub, and carry out other floor care tasks.
• Clean and preserve fixtures, furniture, equipment, walls, doors, and glass surfaces.
• Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings, events, and galas.
• Monitor building conditions and grounds, reporting leaks, hazards, or security concerns to your supervisor or lead hand.
• Maintain clean sidewalks, driveways, lawns, and outdoor equipment.
• Replenish restroom supplies and perform routine waste collection and disposal.
• Assist with moving furniture and delivering materials as needed.
• Be flexible and ready to take on other housekeeping or facility-related duties as assigned.


WHAT YOU BRING
• A high school diploma is required.
• Recent experience in housekeeping or custodial work within the past (5) five years is essential.
• Physical ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending, and operating maintenance equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality service.
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, public environment with a variety of responsibilities.
• Availability for a part-time schedule up to 24 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as needed.
